  In this Holy Parish Church of the Village of San Miguel de Horcasitas, on the fifth day of the month of June of eighteen hundred thirty-five. I, Father Miguel Pelichea, appointed and titled priest in this parish, solemnly baptized a Boy of three days since birth: Whom I named Jose Juan de Jesus, legitimate son of the Citizens Ramon Sierra, and Juana María Castillo, residents of this same place. The Godparents were the Citizens Guadalupe Valdes, and María Margarita Aviña also residents of this same place: Whom I advised of the Spiritual relationship and obligations they contracted, and so that it may be recorded I sign on the day, month and Year as above.

Death Record

• San Luis Rey Mission, San Diego, 1903

  August 13 - Jesús Sierra, age 75, native of Sonora, Mexico: San Miguel de Casita. He died on the night of the 11th, having received all the Holy Sacraments. He was buried today, the 13th, in the cemetery of this Mission of San Luis Rey.
