• On the sixth of February of one thousand seven hundred seventy-one: I, the Bachelor Don Mariano de Nava, as Lieutenant Priest of this Town of Nuestra Señora de San Juan, baptized, put the holy oils, and chrism on a Spanish child of nine days since birth in Las Piedras de Amolar of this jurisdiction, to whom I gave the name Felipe de Jesus, legitimate son of Juan Miguel Limon and Simona Gonzales; the godparents were Don Joseph Antonio Flores and Doña Juana del Portillo, whom I advised of their obligation and spiritual kinship. And I signed it,
