- I Dionysius Oliver of the county of Elbert, weak in body but of sound mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner following to wit,
- I give to my son Peter Oliver two dollars, to be paid him out of my estate and no more. I give to my son John Oliver, four dollars to be paid him out of my estate and no more. I give to my son Dionysius (Jr) two dollars to be paid him out of my estate and no more. I give to my son James Oliver two dollars to be paid him out of my estate and no more. I give to my son Thomas Oliver two dollars to be paid him out of my estate and no more. I give to my son William Oliver two dollars to be paid him out of my estate and no more. I give to my daughter Martha Hancock two dollars to be paid to her out of my estate and no more. I give to my son McCarty Oliver two dollars to be paid to him out of my estate and no more. I give to my daughter Nell Goss two dollar to be paid to her out of my estate and no more. I give to my daughter Fanny Cook two dollars to be paid to her out of my estate and no more.
- I give to my wife Jane Oliver six Negros, to wit, Violet, Phil , Toney, Milly, Lindy, Dinah with the plantation whereon I now live with the half of all my household and kitchen furniture and half the stock and working tools to her during life and then to return to my son Jackson Oliver and his heirs forever. I give to my son Jackson Oliver eight Negros (Viz) Rachel, Isaac, Lucy, John, George, Nancy, Jenny and Lucky with the other half of my household and kitchen furniture and stock and working tools and al l the rest of my lands to the said Jackson Oliver and his heirs forever,
- and further do appoint my wife Jane Oliver, James Oliver and Joshua Harris Executors of this my last will and testament as witness my hand and seal this fourteenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and eighteen.
